Do you enjoy city life as well as nature? If so, Jachthaven Westergoot has the ideal berth for your motorboat. The marina is situated between the Hollandse Biesbosch natural reserve and the historical city centre of Dordrecht. But there’s more! What makes the marina even more unique is that it is also centrally located in relation to the Brabantse Biesbosch natural reserve and the rest of the Netherlands. The perfect point of departure for the loveliest excursions.
H.W. van Geenen acquired Jachthaven Westergoot on 11 April 1989. He took on the challenge of creating a good, modern marina. We have wonderful berths and excellent facilities thanks to his efforts. His sons Joseph and Peter van Geenen took over in 1994. Joseph’s son Jari then joined the team in 2018.
Joseph and Peter van Geenen are the harbour managers. One of the two Van Geenen brothers is always present at the marina, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We consider providing good service to be a priority, and we believe that it is important that everyone is satisfied with their stay in the harbour and has a good time.
Since the acquisition of Jachthaven Westergoot, we have been continuously working on perfecting the marina. We aim to evolve with the times and to modernise our marina. The Blue Flag hallmark is a good example of this: an exclusive eco label that shows we care about the preservation of nature, clean and safe water, and a thriving environment. You are therefore assured that your yacht is housed in a clean, safe marina.
The marina is easily reached by car and public transport alike. The exit roads to the beautiful city centre of Dordrecht are also very close by, and as it happens, the city bus stops right in front of the marina! There’s also plenty of options for you to dine out or spend the day shopping, as various shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
